This post in The Pastel Journal was the very beginning of the Arkansas Pastel Society.

Mary Ann Stafford’s original notice from the Pastel Journal, January-February 2003 issue. Twenty years ago, Mary Ann put an ad in the Pastel Journal asking for people in the Little Rock area who were interested in establishing a pastel society to contact her. Cathy Spann contacted her which eventually led to the very first APS meeting on February 17th, 2004.
